Chamaine Ready (CARE Intervention Coordinator)
Ms. Chamaine Ready is the Special Education Teacher for Juniper Ridge Community School. She feels that it is a privilege to be able to teach students of all ages and loves every opportunity that she is given to guide children into their own personal potential and lifelong learning experiences. Chamaine has been working with children since she began her teaching journey at Mesa Developmental Services (now known as STRIVE) at the age of 15 as a volunteer teacher’s assistant. She became employed with this agency and stayed with them for 12 years before joining MCVSD 51. She had taught with MCVSD 51 for the past 12 years as a reading specialist, a classroom teacher and a special educator providing services to students in both high needs and resource settings. Chamaine believes that learning begins at home long before entering a classroom and she strives to pass along her love of learning to her own four children. All of her children are grown, and she now has seven grandchildren! Chamaine is a proud native of the Grand Valley, and enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and nature photography. She has been able to share her passion for nature and the visual arts with others by having a small business that once provided artistic memorabilia of the area to travelers at a local gift shop. She also has a passion for music, and participates as a member of her church’s praise and worship team. When she is not with her family, singing on Sundays or enjoying the beautiful Colorado sights, she may be found doing a bit of writing here and there. She believes the key to life is being who you are, loving God and loving others, and hopes to share this love of life with the students at Juniper Ridge.

Kasi Ritter (Care Team Internentionist)
Kasi Ritter currently works as a care team interventionist. She has been with JRCS since the beginning and has taught second grade for a year and a half. She graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts. Kasi’s most recent employment was with Riverside Educational Center; beginning as an intern in September of 2012 for CMU, which transitioned into employment in January 2013. Her responsibilities included implementing tutoring sessions, assisting both the Elementary Manager, and the Program Coordinator. Her secondary employment was with Cabela’s in Grand Junction. Kasi has a love for the outdoors, which includes hiking, mountain biking, hunting, fishing, and camping with her family. However, a large portion of her childhood was spent raising hogs on her family’s farm and showing them in 4-H. Part of her involvement in 4-H was being a youth leader. That is when Kasi realized she had a passion for helping children. Kasi went on to pursue an Associates Degree in Animal Science through Modesto Junior College in California. After moving to Colorado in 2008, Kasi decided to follow her desire to work with children and to obtain a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts.
