Field Day Pick-Up Information

Hello parents! Tomorrow is our Field Day, and it promises to be a fun, soggy time! There are a couple of things to keep in mind to help everything run smoothly, so please be aware of the following items:

1) We strongly recommend that you arrive later for student pick-up tomorrow. There will be limited parking available right away, and car pick-up will be complicated by the fact that the horseshoe will be closed for a time.

2) We will have a fire truck in the horseshoe as the finale to Field Day. The truck will depart at approximately 3:20 pm. Until that time, we will not allow any vehicles into the horseshoe for pick-up.

3) Parking along the throat of the road will be extremely limited, so as to allow enough room for the fire truck to depart.

4) There will be some space available in the main parking lot, but it will fill up fast.

5) Please, no parking in the gravel divider between the parking lot and the school.

6) Please no parking in the Solstice or Village Cooperative parking lots. These are private businesses, and we have not made any agreements for parking with them.

7) Please be sure to send a water bottle with your student, and please make sure they apply sunscreen before arriving at school. It’s shaping up to be a sunny day, and the last thing we need is students to miss the last day of school due to sunburn.

For ease of pick-up (and to let your student(s) dry out a bit, please delay your pick-up plans by at least 5 - 10 minutes.

It would also be a good idea to bring the following:

Dry towels

Change of clothes for your kid(s)

We are aware that this may complicate things, but this will help everything transition better.

Thank you for your understanding an patience as we have one last celebration with your student(s) to close out this year!
