JUNIPER RIDGE COMMUNITY SCHOOL CLOSING SCHOOL JANUARY 11-14, 2022 DUE TO COVID ISSUES
The campus at Juniper Ridge Community School will be closed for the remainder of the week (Tuesday-Friday, January 11-14, 2022) due to COVID illness and related issues. The school plans to re-open on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
“We currently have 19% of our staff out with COVID and over 15% of students out with COVID, COVID related issues, and other illnesses”, stated Marketing and Development Director, Brenda Chesney.
“It was a difficult decision but with guidance from D51, our Board of Stewards and Administration decided it is the best choice at this time,” said Chesney, “with 19% of our staff our at once, we are unable to properly staff our classrooms and therefore provide a quality education to our students”.
“Student and staff health and safety are our top priorities and we are hoping that by using an an “at-home learning” model for the remainder of this week, it will allow students and staff to isolate, ill staff and students to rest up and get healthy again, and give us time to deep clean and sanitize the entire campus”.
The school has asked that parents continue to inform the school if their child tests positive for COVID-19 during this time by calling the school at (970) 986-8219 and leaving a message or emailing attendance@juniperridgeschool.org.
JRCS has been following the COVID-19 guidance and protocols set forth by D51 and MCHD and will continue to do so when the school reopens on January 18, 2022.
